Initially I rolled my eyes at the rainbow dps and celebrations outside America when homosexual marriage was legalized. As a non-American, a Pakistani, I felt it had nothing to do with us and wondered why were celebrating it. But I feel compelled to write this post because the issue has created such a backlash against homosexuality, and led to such a frothing mass of pitch black hate and stupidity against gays that I feel a few things MUST be clarified to people. If you have any objective rationality, you will understand these points.

Harry Potter, you are my lifeblood by RobynRose, journal
Harry Potter, you are my lifeblood
Every time I think I can finally break my connection to the universe, those Harry Potter Christmas marathons suck me right back in with powerful feelings of wonderment. I want to write fanfiction again. Badly. I want to write about wizard colleges in North America and nextgen children! And underdeveloped characters! and Hufflepuff / Ravenclaw points of view! I've already started pre-plotting something a little long involving Draco slowly, agonizingly coming to terms with his past, and Hermione going off to Wizard university! Feeling super inspired.
Oh, Potterverse, you suck me back in every time!
EDIT: As I said above, I like Draco Malfoy.

I am haunted in this holiday season by the opening lines of Charles Dickens’s A Tale of Two Cities, his novel about a society 250 years ago coming apart in its seemingly irreconcilable divisions. Could it be these lines define where we have come to find ourselves today?
“It was the best of times,
it was the worst of times,
in the age of wisdom,
it was the age of foolishness,
it was the epoch of belief,
it was the epoch of incredulity,
it was the season of Light,
it was the season of Darkness,
it was the spring of hope,
it was the winter of despair…”
ur own epoch is one of the tec

Sometimes I hate how I said to myself that this account would only have pictures of Cosplays I made. I want to upload new pictures but all my cosplays this year were closet cosplays. As it is I'm debating whether or not I should put up picks of my Ayame cosplay (not yet made) because half of it will be thrift store finds (AKA the white "dress" he wears under his red coat).
